On 'New Girl,' Adam Brody Proves That Men Can't Be Friends With Their Exes

Adam Brody Guest Stars On 'New Girl'

Adam Brody dropped by "New Girl" to help the show try and prove a point about exes. According to Nick -- and every guy on the show -- it is impossible for guys to be friends with their exes. If they are still friends, it's because they want to have sex with them. Jess, however, was sure this wasn't true. After all, she and Berkley (Brody) were closer than ever, and he was a happily married father now.

At least, that's what she thought. While Jess was trying to help Nick achieve closure with one of his exes, Berkley finally mustered up the nerve to tell Jess what he'd been wanting to say for a long time. He was ready to leave his wife for her. And just like that, Nick was proven right.

E! Online's Tierney Bricker got a huge kick out of Brody's appearance, taking note of a nod to Brody's old show, "The O.C." She wrote, "Any other 'O.C.' fans kind of obsessed with the fact that Brody's character's name is Berkeley, given that's where Seth's parents Sandy and Kirsten fell in love and ultimately ended up moving back into their old house there at the end of the series. So many feelings.”

"New Girl" airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
