New Gmail Inbox: Google Unveils Email Changes, Customizable Tabs (VIDEO)

WATCH: Your Gmail Could Soon Look Like This

Get ready, Gmail users: Google is preparing to roll out the new Gmail inbox with some slight adjustments.

In a blog, posted Wednesday, Google revealed changes to its email inbox design, including customizable tabs. The categorized tabs will also be available -- with a swipe -- on mobile for Android and Apple iOS apps.

If you're married to classic Gmail, don't fret. Google assures Gmail users that the newest version is not mandatory and will instead serve as another additional inbox option.

It seems The Next Web was on the money last week when the site posted leaked screenshots of the revamped Gmail (courtesy of Android Police).

Google will roll the new Gmail to users gradually, with the mobile versions expected to become available within the next few weeks.
