Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is the favored potential GOP presidential contender among likely Republican voters in New Hampshire, according to a new Bloomberg Politics/Saint Anselm poll.
Sixteen percent of likely Republican primary voters said they would back Bush. Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker were the next most favored potential candidates, with 13 and 12 percent of support, respectively.
The poll wasn't all good news for Bush, who had a 50 percent unfavorable rating and a 35 percent favorable rating among general election voters. Among the potential 2016 GOP presidential contenders, only Donald Trump had a higher unfavorable rating, according to the poll.
Hillary Clinton led potential contenders on the Democratic side, earning the support of 56 percent of likely Democratic voters. Elizabeth Warren -- who has repeatedly said she's not interested in a 2016 White House bid -- was the second most popular, earning the support of 15 percent of likely Democratic voters. Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) tied for third with 8 percent each.
The New Hampshire primary, the second 2016 primary after the Iowa caucuses, will be held on Feb. 9, 2016. According to a recent analysis by the University of New Hampshire, Republican voters in the Granite State largely haven't settled on a candidate in the race. The analysis found that only 6 percent of likely GOP voters have found a candidate they will definitely support, 9 percent are leaning toward a candidate, and 85 percent haven't decided.
