New Kindle Ad Attacks The iPad (VIDEO)

New Kindle Ad Attacks The iPad (VIDEO)

Amazon.com has boasted that its new Kindle (dubbed the "Kindle 3") is the company's fastest-selling e-reader yet.

Facing steep competition from Apple's iPad, Amazon is selling its its latest Kindle for far less than the iPad--the new Kindle runs $189 for a model with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, or costs $139 for a model with Wi-Fi only. Amazon has even taken the fight to the airwaves with a new ad attacking the iPad's pricetag and screen.

The ad features a man and woman lounging poolside and holding an iPad and a Kindle, respectively. The woman reads with ease from her Kindle's eInk screen, while the man struggles to see the text on his iPad's reflective LCD display.

What do you think of the Kindle's new ad? Tell us in the comments below.
