New Mom Thanks Southwest Flight Attendant For Going 'Above And Beyond'

Aww!

Mom Heather Gooch wasn't sure how her 9-month-old baby boy would handle his first trip on a plane. But the new mom and her son were in good hands, thanks in part to a caring flight attendant.

In a Facebook post published Tuesday, Gooch shared how a flight attendant on Southwest Airlines named Anissa went "above and beyond" to make sure her little guy was comfortable and happy.

At one point, Anissa held the baby and walked him up and down the aisle as Gooch and her husband ate lunch, the mom wrote.

"I have NEVER had a flight attendant as kind and as helpful as she was. My son adored her and kept looking for her as she passed by," she added.

Dear Southwest, I'm hoping you can share this post so that I can be sure that it finds its way to a very special...

At the end of her post, Gooch asked Southwest for help in tracking Anissa down.

"We so often hear about the negative things going on so I wanted to share this story of (sic) someone who made my trip a little brighter," she said. "Please help this get to her!"

Anissa apparently got the memo and later commented:

"Y'all are going to make me cry!!! Lol it was Truly my pleasure and he made MY day!! I needed him more than he wanted me to hang out with! Lol you know, since I can walk and all! Lol I don't mind being used by the babies lol."

In September, a Michigan mom wrote about a similar experience when a woman next to her on a plane, helped quiet her crying baby by holding her for the entire plane ride.

Traveling on a plane with little ones is no easy task. But these acts of compassion can go a long way.

How sweet!
