New 'Nymphomaniac' Clip Features Shia LaBeouf Far Removed From The 'Transformers' World

Shia LaBeouf Gets Creepy In Sex Movie Clip

Will Shia LaBeouf actually blow us all away with his performance in the Lars von Trier sex movie "Nymphomaniac"? A short new clip from the film sort of makes it feel that way. The actor seems to have been transported into a persona unlike any we've seen him take on before -- a young David Brent? -- even if that's not especially hard with a résumé that centers on "Transformers" and "Indiana Jones" sequels.

LaBeouf dons slicked-back hair, a soft accent and '70s-friendly office garb in the new clip, from the film's second chapter, named after his character Jerome. The scene also features Stacy Martin, who portrays a younger version of Charlotte Gainsbourg's title character. We now know LaBeouf and Martin will also engage in a steamy sex scene during the "Jerome" portion of the movie.

This marks the second clip we've seen from "Nymphomaniac," the first having been an uncomfortably creepy look at a sexual seduction. The new teaser lacks the overt sexuality, but its undertones are striking nonetheless. LaBeouf does a superb job at fostering a wordless sleaziness.

"Nymphomaniac" also stars Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman, Willem Dafoe, Stellan Skarsgård, Christian Slater and Connie Nielsen. Its U.S. release date has yet to be officialized.
