Music fans all over the country will be toasting to 2014 with some live music this year -- and whether you're looking to rave or prefer something a little mellower, there are plenty of great shows to choose from. So if you don't have plans yet for the big night, here are three emerging acts playing that are worth the trip.

WHO: Cults
WHEN: December 31st, 2013
WHERE: The Brooklyn Bowl - Brooklyn, NY
WHY: On the heels of their well-received sophomore album, Static, Cults will be DJing what's sure to be a high energy NYE show on December 31st at the Brooklyn Bowl in NYC. Their beachy, California sound will make you forget all about the chilly NYC weather outside. And as an added bonus, they'll be playing with indie-rockers the Delta Spirit. Grab your tickets here while you still can!

WHO: Goldroom
WHEN: December 31st, 2013
WHERE: W Hollywood Rooftop - Los Angeles, CA
WHY: Buzz-worthy California natives Goldroom will be keeping their lush, electro pop sound close to home this NYE with what is sure to be a feel-good show on the rooftop of the W Hotel in Hollywood. Goldroom's DJ sets are fun and packed with fresh sounds and unique remixes, as well as original tunes of their own. If you're in the Southland this New Year's Eve, don't miss this exciting up and comer at one of the coolest venues in Los Angeles!

WHO: Dillon Francis
WHEN: December 31st, 2013
WHERE: Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco, CA
WHY: Anyone in the Bay Area looking for an EDM NYE experience this year should be sure to check out Dillon Francis at the Sea of Dreams event in San Francisco. The charismatic 26-year-old DJ/producer rose to international fame for his role in helping to bring moohmbaton/trap-style music to the mainstream, and is known for putting on an insanely fun live show. And in case Francis isn't enough reason to attend, other acts worth seeing at Sea of Dreams this year include Thievery Corporation, Little Dragon and A-Trak.
