New York Daily News Blasts Ryan For Standing By 'Racist' Trump

"Ryan: Trump's 'Mexican' judge rant is the 'definition of racist,' but I still support him."

The New York Daily News clearly has no plans to stop calling Republican politicians as it sees them.

Donald Trump, as previous front pages have noted, is -- among a long list of other things -- "stupid," as well as a "clown," a "racist” and the "anti-Christ."

Now the Daily News is blasting House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who spoke out against Trump's comments about U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, calling them "unacceptable" and the "textbook definition" of racist, while simultaneously reaffirming his support for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

An early edition of Wednesday's front page shows a picture of Ryan pointing toward a smug-looking Trump with the words, "I'M WITH RACIST!"

In small print, it reads: "Ryan: Trump's 'Mexican' judge rant is the 'definition of racist,' but I still support him."

While he may not agree with Trump's recent comments, Ryan has made clear that he thinks the racist Republican standard-bearer is far better than the alternative.

The paper later changed the front page to reflect Hillary Clinton's historic win after she became the Democratic Party's presumptive presidential nominee:

Media outlets reported Monday that Clinton had enough pledged delegates and superdelegates to secure the nomination, but her campaign refrained from celebrating until after Tuesday's primary contests.

This story has been updated with Wednesday's new front page.

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
