New York, are you ready to vote?

Here's what you need to know about voting in your state on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

The closing time for New York polls is 9 p.m. Eastern Time; Opening time for New York polls is 6 a.m.

New York will award 29 electoral votes to its victor in the presidential race. The state has voted for the Democratic presidential candidate every year since 1988.

The latest polls show that Barack Obama has a healthy lead in the Empire State going into Election Day.
