Connecticut School Shooting: 3rd-Grade Witness Saw Children Screaming At Sandy Hook Elementary (VIDEO)

WATCH: 3rd-Grade Witness's Account Of Elementary Shooting

A 3rd-grade witness to the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School saw her classmates running, screaming and crying as a gunman opened fire this morning.

"We were right near the window in our classroom -- we saw police officers and we heard them on the roof," the girl told CNN reporters (video above). She said people were screaming and crying and that some kids got a "stomach ache."

Hundreds of students at the Newtown, Connecticut elementary looked on as the shooter -- who initial reports stated was 24 years old and had four guns on him at the time -- shot and killed about 27 people, including 18 children, law enforcement officials tell the Associated Press.
