Cherilus Gosder, who has been named as Unspoken Smiles Foundation Goodwill Ambassador, is no stranger to advocating for children’s well-being.
Continuing in his drive to give back to young people around the world whenever and wherever possible Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL star Gosder Cherilus recently announced he is now officially a Goodwill Ambassador and Advocate for Unspoken Smiles Foundation. Unspoken Smiles is a fast growing, passionate non-profit organization focused on promoting healthy smiles worldwide.

There's few things as important to a young person's sense of self esteem than their smile. Sadly, it's also an area where many children and young adults suffer due to be economically or socially disadvantaged. Unspoken Smiles Foundation is a non-profit organization doing everything they can to help, through leveraging individuals whose success and influence in culture align with the mission of the organization. These individuals are then called upon to counsel the Unspoken Smiles team, offering their assistance, guidance and hard earned wisdom – and acting as inspirations to help make real positive change. In exciting news in this area, NFL star player, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offensive Tackle Gosder Cherilus has joined Unspoken Smiles as a Goodwill Ambassador and Advocate, and immediately has gone to work to help bring attention to the worthy cause.
“We're beyond happy to have such an amazing, inspirational figure as Gosder Cherilus join the team,” said Jean Paul Laurent, CEO of Unspoken Smiles Foundation. “We know it's going to go a long way in helping bring attention to how important it is for young people to be able to have healthy, attractive smiles.”
According to Unspoken Smiles, Cherilus is well known in the NFL, and among fans, for his winning combination of talent, awe inspiring work ethic and, perhaps most importantly, his desire to give back to the young people who are going without, the same kind of environment that he himself rose out of.
“I know what it feels like to be young kid, understanding what it is to want, and not be able to have. If I could help it, I would make it so that no kid has to have that feeling,” Cherilus remarked. When asked, “Why is it so important for you to help others?” The athlete and activist answered,, “Because it's my job to. It's what I'm supposed to do. Find A Need. Fill the Void.”
The appointment of Cherilus is timely because starting next year Unspoken Smiles is driving hard to foster more positive mindsets and practical training that build and support economic opportunity for young women through the fellowship program.
