He’s just about had it with these goddamn photographers on this goddamn plane.
One Direction’s Niall Horan spoke out on Twitter after a fan posted a picture of the singer sleeping on a flight from London. In the photo’s caption, the fan commented on Horan’s politeness but noted he declined a selfie because he was sick. However, the fan took this as an invitation to wait until the singer was asleep to snap a picture.
The 22-year-old was enraged by the invasion of privacy, writing, “I think this s**t is unreal. I mean if you can’t sleep on a plane without people taking photos of you what can u do?”
Horan and the rest of One Direction are currently on an extended hiatus, partly due to the exhaustion the band members faced as a result of their rapid ascent to international stardom, releasing five studio albums in as many years. Horan has been living in the public eye since he was discovered at 16.
“Even though they were young, that was a grueling schedule, and after a while I could see they were exhausted,” music mogul Simon Cowell, who discovered the band on the U.K.’s “The X Factor,” told PEOPLE. “Having a year off is going to be a healthy thing.”
Let’s let Niall get his beauty sleep in peace! After all, that’s what makes him beautiful.
