In addition to his duties searching for the nation’s next star on “America’s Got Talent,” Nick Cannon is also busy relaunching “Wild N’ Out” and “Soul Train.”

Recently, the charismatic comedian-turned-television personality struck a deal through his production company, NCredible Entertainment, to resurrect the music variety show on the NBC network.

During an appearance on HuffPost Live Tuesday, the 32-year-old opened up on relaunching the popular franchise and his plans to make it more appealing to a new generation of fans.

“It’s a passion project of mine. Obviously, what it means to our culture ... One, it was one of the longest-running syndicated television shows in history, and then, it just did so much for us, for our style, for our fashion," he explained. "Saturday morning, you knew what was cool by what was on 'Soul Train.'”

“Not only am I producing it, I’m hosting it. We got the rights. But it’s like full circle for me. A lot of people don’t know the first time I was ever on national television I was a 'Soul Train' dancer.”
