Nick Corirossi Talks Needling Madonna, Party Gunfire, And His Favorite Booty Song (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

'Funny Or Die' Filmmaker Lets Loose On Miami

He's the only man who can stop Don Cheadle as Captain Planet -- and all he has to do is stop typing.

Meet Nick Corirossi, the native 305-er behind the Borscht Film Festival's "Miami 1996", a found-footage film from a Miami booty party gone horribly wrong -- and then see it yourself when it screens Saturday night at Borscht 8 at the Arsht Center!

Who are you:
Nick Corirossi!

Current gig:
Staff writer/director for FunnyorDie.com.

Years in Miami:
0-18

Why did you leave us?
I left to make hollywood movies!

Favorite childhood memory in Miami?
My grandma's house on xmas in Miami Lakes.

Favorite 'Only in Miami' moment?
Either trashing hotels in Miami Beach or seeing Madonna and Dennis Rodman when they were dating and only asking for Rodman's autograph in front of her.

Why is Miami superior to Los Angeles?
It's prettier.

How did you get roped into the Borscht Film Fest?
My friend Andrew Hevia from the Miami Children's Film Festival days (shout out to Billy Corben!) helps put it on - and also Lucas [Leyva] was a MCFF kid also.

The teaser for "Miami 1996" is soundtracked by Stevie B.'s "Spring Love." Stevie B. is God, obviously. What are your favorite freestyle/305 classics?
My favorite freestyle is "Spring Love" and my favorite booty song is Uncle Al's "Mix It Up."

What were you doing in 1996?
I was at the Coral Gables Youth Center eating Slim Jims.

What is the craziest thing that's ever happened to you at a party?
One time a kid at a party took out a knife on some guy and he went to his car, and came back with a gun and shot it off in the air and everyone ran away.

What do you crave most?
Good feature length films being made in the studio system?

What was the first film/video you ever made?
The first film I ever made was called "Milton's 15 Minutes" for the Miami Children's Film Festival and it won!

Last big project you did?
3 sequels to the "Don Cheadle is Captain Planet" series that I co-write/direct with my friend Charles.

Upcoming projects you're working on:
A few feature specs.

What are you most proud of?
Convincing people to give me money to make the stupidest shit.

Why do you hate Miami? Why do you love Miami?
I hate miami because everyone is so chill they never get anything cool done.

Which will sink into the sea faster, Miami or Los Angeles?
Miami will sadly sink faster into the ocean because of all the gay heathens on south beach.

In a word or two or three, Miami is...
HOME.
