Nick Jonas On His Gay Fans: 'I Embrace Them'

Nick Jonas On Why He 'Loves' And 'Embraces' His Gay Fans

Nick Jonas says he isn't fazed by the recent attention he's garnered from the gay community -- in fact, he welcomes it.

"I love it; I'm thrilled by that," Jonas said during a HuffPost Live appearance this week. "I always had a pretty strong gay fan base, having been a theater kid."

Jonas recently appeared at a number of gay clubs in New York while promoting his new single, "Jealous," and even performed a cheeky striptease following a performance of the song at one venue.

During a Sept. 10 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen, he hinted that his role on the upcoming DirecTV drama series, "Kingdom," may feature a large storyline revolving around his sexuality.

"That's a community that I love and have embraced, and [they've] embraced me," he added. "I love them. They're so supportive."

Jonas's forthcoming self-titled album is slated to drop in November.
