Nick Jonas Remembers His Teen Love For Miley Cyrus In Perfect Throwback

They're honestly a Romeo and Juliet of our time.

Nick Jonas pulled at former Disney Channel lovers' heartstrings on Thursday.

Jonas shared a #tbt to his time crushing on Miley Cyrus. Sweat stains, trucker hat, peace sign and a can of coke -- oh, objects of teenhood past!

The two musicians -- whose careers have both hugely evolved from their days as Disney stars in "Hannah Montana" and The Jonas Brothers, respectively -- dated back in 2006 and 2007.

In the years since their split, both stars have spoken out about their time together. Back in 2012, Cyrus called her breakup from him at age 14 her "biggest heartbreak" and, in the same year, admitted she agreed with rumors that Jonas Brothers song "Wedding Bells" -- with lyrics like "I don't wanna hear the wedding bells prove / that we can't try / one last time" -- was about her then engagement to Liam Hemsworth. (The engagement was famously called off soon after, so Cyrus may now have a new contender for biggest heartbreak.)

Just earlier this year, Jonas told Elle magazine he had no regrets about his relationship with Miley.

"It's more gratitude for having had a good friend in a time of craziness in my life and in hers," he said. "I was so young. What's unfortunate is that, as we got older, we ran in different circles."

OK, sorry, we're getting emotional now. Will anything ever be as potent teen love?
