Celebs Embrace The Season Of Giving

'Tis the season, as they say, and celebs are getting into into it in some charitable ways.

In a partnership with Mattel, Nicki Minaj introduced a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll made in her likeness (or the likeness of her "Pink Friday" album cover rather) that she's auctioning off on CharityBuzz.com. Proceeds from the sale of "Her Minajesty" will go to benefit Project Angel Food, a Los Angeles-based organization that delivers free meals to families affected by HIV/AIDS and cancer.

In New York, rapper Fabolous spoke to a group of fans Thursday night in an effort to boost declining donations to the non-profit organization New York Cares, Vibe.com reports. His pep talk marked the end of a coat drive his own organization, A Fabolous Way Foundation, sponsored across the city last month and a pledge to help New York Cares reach their goal of donating 100,000 coats to needy New Yorkers by December 31.

And at this year's Art Basel show in Miami, rapper Nas took to the stage for a performance of his throwback "Made You Look," during which he created a live painting, according to the Miami New Times. The work fetched $14,000 in an auction that followed, money which is slated to be donated to charity.
