Louisville's Nicole Fox Is America's Next Top Model

Louisville resident and University of Colorado sophomore Nicole Fox is America's next top model.

Tyra Banks and a panel of judges chose Nicole for the coveted title cycle 13 of America's Next Top Model. Wednesday night on the CW.

The 18-year-old, who graduated from Monarch High School a year early, will receive a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics, a representation contract with Wilhelmina Models and will be on the cover of Seventeen Magazine along with a six-page spread.

After finding out she won Nicole said on the show, "I'm a dork and I'm America's next top model!"

"This journey was incredibly hard," she continued. "I learned to embarrass myself and sometimes I didn't think I was going to survive the journey."

According to an article from the Daily Camera, Fox describes herself as "just the girl next door" and in the show she was often described as a shy, awkward redhead.

But the judges saw through that and saw her potential as a high fashion model.

"You are a star," Banks told her. "You have IT."

Fox is studying fine arts at CU and has said her dream job would be combining art, modeling and writing.

Wednesday night's final episode feature Nicole facing off with a contestant from Kentucky, Laura, shooting a cosmetics commercial for CoverGirl, their cover shoot for Seventeen and a run way walk-off.

Cycle 13 is the first time the show has featured "shorter" models, with all the hopefuls being 5 feet 7 inches or under. Nicole comes in at 5 foot 7 inches.
