Nicole Richie has gone grey!
The 31-year-old star made a jaw-dropping appearance on the 2013 Met Gala red carpet with a ghostly grey updo. The hair color (which Richie teased us with an Instagram shot earlier today as hairstylist Luke Chamberlain prepped her) actually looked stunning against her bronzed complexion and paired well with a burgundy lip color (a custom shade blended by makeup artist Beau Nelson using Chanel Rouge Allure in Rouge Noir and MAC Lipmix in Black and Fuschia).

Richie's beauty interpretation of the "Punk: Chaos to Couture" theme also extended down to her fingertips with a wine red and gold half-moon manicure created by Kimmie Kyees. (By the way: Kimmie used Gelish My Forbidden Love and Orly Luxe nail polishes.)
We've seen young celebrities like Lady Gaga and Kelly Osbourne go grey on the fly, but Richie's take on the trend is eerily amazing.
