North Carolina Election 2012: Obama, Romney Compete For 15 Electoral Votes

North Carolina Close On Election Day

North Carolina will be closely watched on Election Day as Barack Obama and Mitt Romney compete for the state's 15 electoral votes.

The latest polls show the candidates in a tight fight in North Carolina going into Decision Day, with Romney holding a slight lead over Obama. Obama carried North Carolina in 2008 by a razor-thin margin and Republicans are hopeful that a combination of factors will lead to a turnabout this cycle.

Polls in the Tar Heel state will open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Looks below for the latest Presidential poll numbers from around the country and further for our Election Day live blog.
