Sweet Video About A Hungry Norwegian Boy Promotes Compassion Worldwide

A public service announcement about a hungry, little boy surrounded by compassionate classmates has gone viral.

The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs commissioned the video to encourage people to become foster parents. Since posting it online a few days ago, the clip has received more than 120 million views and struck a chord with people around the globe.

“Nothing is better than a good network and community. Let’s help each other!” said the caption on the video which was posted to the Norwegian agency’s Facebook page.

Thousands of commenters on the social networking site agreed.

“I wish we could come together like that in the states,” said one respondent.

Another talked about giving her son extra school snacks because he once shared food with a boy who had nothing.

“You never know what struggle someone might be going through,” she wrote, “so be kind to everyone.”
