Note To Self: Never Ask Tom Hiddleston If He Regrets Dating Taylor Swift

We might not ever see “Kong: Skull Island,” but we’ll always be thankful to the ape for putting Tom Hiddleston on a never-ending press tour where he’s forced to answer questions about Taylor Swift.

The British actor, who carried on a short but highly publicized romance with Swift last summer, has already confirmed that their relationship was not a total publicity scheme, but unfortunately he will never, ever live it down. Like ever.

Speaking with The Telegraph in an interview published Monday, Hiddleston “testily” responded to a reporter’s question about whether he regretted anything about the Hiddleswift media storm.

“What should I regret, in your mind?” he replied. “I would rather not talk about this if that’s all right.”

“I’m just thinking about this. Everyone is entitled to a private life,” Hiddleston continued. “I love what I do and I dedicate myself with absolute commitment to making great art and great entertainment and in my mind I don’t conflict the two. My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate.”

Hmmm, those infamous Rhode Island rocks might beg to differ ...
