Notre Dame vs. Oklahoma: Can No. 5 Fighting Irish Top No. 8 Sooners To Stay Undefeated?

Notre Dame vs. Oklahoma

Is this it for Notre Dame's magical run?

The No. 5 Fight Irish will try to continue their best start in a decade and stay undefeated as they head to Norman, Okla. to face the No. 8 Sooners, who are 79-4 under coach Bob Stoops at home.

Visiting Oklahoma for the first time in 46 years, Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly knows it's going to take another stellar performance from his defense that is second in the nation in points allowed averaging just 9.4.

"I think controlling the football for us and playing great defense in the second half has been our formula for winning and we are not going to go away from that," Kelly told the Associated Press. "It goes to the toughness of our football team."

However, Oklahoma just happens to be ranked fifth in the nation in points scored per game and is coming off three straight wins by a margin of at least 21.

Will Notre Dame be able to hold off Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones? Or will the Sooners be able to produce enough on offense to hand the Irish their first loss of the season?

In order to dissect this matchup, we have invited SubwayDomer.com Editor-in-Chief Joshua Vowles and Co-editor of Crimson and Cream Machine Jordan Esco to argue on behalf of the the team they cover. Who are you taking?
