Antony Crossfield, Photographer, Creates 'Foreign Body' Series With Nude Human Hybrids (PHOTOS)(NSFW)

These Nude Human Hybrids Are Truly Bizarre

Photographer Antony Crossfield sees the human body as more than a rigid frame. The London-based photographer uses photo manipulation to distort the nude form, melding multiple heads and appendages into connected, unidentifiable masses in his "Foreign Body" series below. His work was recently on view at Karin Janssen Project Space in London.

We also came across Crossfield's mind-bending images at this year's AIPAD Photography Fair in New York. He explained his work to the Huffington Post in an email:

"In my photography the body is presented as unstable, ambiguous, permeable, and lacking a singular coherent form. I depict the body not as a protective envelope that defines and unifies our limits, but rather, a place of interface between the subject and the other."

The artist went on to liken his process of piecing together his nudes to painting, characterizing his collaged works as "compositions of unified fragments." Scroll through the slideshow below for more of Crossfield's strange subjects.
