New York Times Issues St. Patrick's Day Correction After Confusing Snakes For Slaves

The New York Times issued a special St. Patrick's day correction Monday after incorrectly stating that "St. Patrick banished the slaves from Ireland and they all came here and they became conservatives."

Hmm...not sure that's the way the story goes...

The real story behind St. Patrick's fame is that many believe he rid Ireland of all snakes in the 5th century A.D. NY Times eventually realized their mistake:
