Nyjer Morgan is quite the character. That's why it's not that surprising to see him give yet another bizarre postgame interview... in character.
After the Milwaukee Brewers won their seventh game in a row on Monday night, Morgan did an interview as a man named Tony Gumbo. He thanked his hitting coach for going over his "plushdamentals" and helping him learn to tickle the ball into the outfield. Morgan made a few interesting facial expressions to the camera and then broke out of character once the reporter started laughing.
Morgan had a good reason to be in a playful mood, since he went 2-for-5 and drove in three runs off St. Louis' Chris Carpenter.
