NYPD Cop Allegedly Raped 16-Year-Old Girl

A New York police officer allegedly raped a 16-year-old he met at church.

Officer Vladimir Sosa, 38, who works in the Bronx was arrested on Tuesday morning, according to NBC New York.

He is a 7-year veteran of the force.

Police said Sosa and his victim had sex at least three times over the course of a year, the New York Daily News reports.

Police began investigating Sosa in February after the girl's mom allegedly found incriminating evidence on the victim's phone.

Authorities said the two attended the same church.

Sosa is charged with third-degree rape, sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child.

The arrest comes nearly four years after two NYPD cops were cleared of raping a drunk woman in her Manhattan apartment.
