Obama Goes After All Of The 2016 Presidential Candidates

President Barack Obama joked about the 2016 election during the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday, making fun of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Obama called out Priebus by name during his remarks, noting what a mess the Republican nominating contest had become.

"Glad to see that you feel you've earned a night off," Obama said. "Congratulations on all your success, the Republican party, the nomination process, it's all going great, keep it up."

He also joked that guests at the dinner were asked to choose whether they wanted steak or fish, but some chose to write in "Paul Ryan."

He didn't spare Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who recently called a basketball hoop a "basketball ring."

"What else is in his lexicon? Baseball sticks? Football hats?" Obama asked. "But sure, I'm the foreign one."

He also took a shot at Ohio Gov. John Kasich, saying that some candidates weren't polling high enough to get their own joke and then flashing a picture of Kasich eating pizza with a fork.

Sanders attended Saturday's dinner and the president gave him a shout out.

"Bernie you look like a million bucks, or to put in terms you'll understand you look like 37,000 donations of $27 each," Obama said. "I am hurt though, Bernie, that you've been distancing yourself a little bit from me, I mean that's just not something you do to your comrade."

Clinton was also the target of a few of Obama's jokes. He joked that the Democratic frontrunner didn't have a slogan that was effective as Sanders' "feel the Bern," and then flashed a picture of Clinton's campaign logo pushing a boulder uphill with the slogan, "Trudge up the Hill!"

Obama also pretended that he wouldn't go after Trump, but then dedicated an entire section of his remarks to making fun of the GOP frontrunner.
