Obama Bus Tour Rolls On

AUBURN, N.Y. — President Barack Obama gets back on the road Friday for the final leg of a two-day bus tour centered on his proposals for cutting college costs.

The president will speak at New York's Binghamton University and Pennsylvania's Lackawanna College in Scranton. The president is promoting a plan for a new government rating system for colleges that would judge institutions on their tuition costs and perhaps be used to allocate federal financial aid.

Obama could also face questions on other topics during his town-hall style appearance in Binghamton. Even as the president seeks to focus on domestic issues, foreign policy is vying for his attention, with crises brewing in Egypt and Syria.

Vice President Joe Biden, a Scranton native, will join Obama for the event in his hometown.
