Obama On 'Dad Jeans' Incident: I've Been Unfairly Maligned

President Barack Obama has got his swag back since that famous "dad jeans" incident when he sported a "frumpy" pair of blue jeans to throw out the first pitch at a Major League Baseball All-Star game. But, he hasn't forgotten about all the flak he got for this fashion mishap.

Obama phoned in to "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" on Friday where he discussed his recent shopping trip to the Gap, and the hardships of shopping for women. While first daughters Malia and Sasha gave their dad props for his "reasonably good taste" in selecting sweaters and T-shirts, Obama knew better than to venture into the pants and shoes department. He told Seacrest, "Then suddenly you're doomed."

As for his "dad jeans," Obama had this to say:

I've been unfairly maligned about my jeans. The truth is, generally, I look very sharp in jeans. There was one episode about four years ago, in which I was wearing some loose jeans, mainly because I was out on the pitcher's mound and I didn't want to feel confined while I was pitching. I think I've paid my penance for that. I got whacked pretty good. Since that time, my jeans fit pretty good.

Well, mister president, we have noticed your efforts to step-up your style game, and we salute you.
