ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE, Jan 9 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's proposal to offer two years of free tuition to community college to any student that keeps up their grades would cost the federal government about $60 billion over 10 years, White House spokesman Eric Schultz said on Friday.

The White House will provide more details about how the administration would pay for the program in Obama's budget proposal, which is scheduled for release on Feb. 2, Schultz told reporters traveling with Obama. (Reporting by Roberta Rampton; Editing by Bill Trott)
