Obama Wishes Politics Was As 'Ruthlessly Efficient' As On 'House Of Cards'

President Barack Obama wishes that life in Washington was just a little more like the cutthroat political world portrayed in Netflix's "House of Cards."

Speaking at a gathering of technology executives at the White House on Tuesday, Obama asked Netflix CEO Reed Hastings if he had brought any advance copies of the show's new season.

According to a pool report, Hastings laughed at the president's quip and joked that he should make a cameo appearance on the Emmy-winning series.

“I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient,” Obama said. “It’s true. It’s like Kevin Spacey, man this guy’s getting a lot of stuff done."

Spacey plays Machiavellian congressman Frank Underwood on the Netflix series.

Obama isn't the only presidential fan of the show. According to Spacey, former President Bill Clinton told the actor he had binge-watched the Netflix original.

"I love that show. It's so good," Clinton reportedly told Spacey.

The show's second season will debut on the streaming site on February 14.
