'The Obamas': Michelle Obama Addresses Allegations In New Book On 'CBS This Morning' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Michelle Obama Sets The Record Straight About Her Marriage

First lady Michelle Obama stopped by "CBS This Morning" Wednesday to address claims about her relationship with the President that are made in New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor's new book, "The Obamas."

Kantor writes that Michelle Obama has influenced her husband positively as a President, but has also had conflicts with his staff. The first lady flatly denied Kantor's allegation that she sparred with former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel, telling "CBS This Morning" host Gayle King: "I can count the times I go over to the West Wing. Period." She added, "I do care deeply about my husband, I'm one of his biggest allies."

"The Obamas" was released in bookstores on Tuesday, after facing criticism from the White House and the news media. Despite the fact that Kantor never interviewed the Obamas for her book, "The Obamas" claims to reveal the inner workings of the couple's marriage, focusing on how the first lady has influenced many of the President's decisions.
