President Barack Obama pardons the national Thanksgiving turkey Wednesday as part of an annual tradition that dates back to the Kennedy White House.
Obama will pardon Popcorn, who won out over his rival Caramel in a public vote over which should be pardoned by the president. (Both turkeys will ultimately be spared the fate of ending up on someone's plate this Thanksgiving, but only one will receive a ceremonial pardon from Obama.)
Watch a live video of the turkey pardon above.
This post has been updated to list Popcorn as the winner of the vote.
