President Barack Obama continued to show his big heart when he let a group of kids blow the starting horn at the Wounded Warrior Ride.

The president let 11 children of war veterans blow the red sports air horn at the South Lawn of the White House before the riders took off on Thursday. At one point, Obama even pretended to jump when a kid blew the horn.

Vice President Joe Biden tried to get in on the action, but his bid to blow the horn was denied.

The ride, now in its ninth year, aims to help raise awareness of the nation's heroes who battle the physical and psychological damages of war.
