This Underwater Technology Harnesses Ocean Waves To Make Renewable Energy

And bonus: It doesn't hurt marine animals.

Ocean waves just might be the new frontier of renewable energy.

Australia-based Carnegie Wave Energy Limited has created patented technology that converts the ocean's energy into power and is able to remove minerals from the water. The company says the process doesn't hurt the environment or marine life -- and because the offshore buoys and pumps that do the work are completely submerged, it also doesn't ruin any beautiful ocean views.
