Ohio Daycare Worker Heather Koon Held On $2 Million Bond For Alleged Rape Of Children, Ages 1 And 2

Bond for an Ohio daycare worker accused of raping two young children has been set for $2 million -- $1 million for each felony count against her.

Heather Koon made her first court appearance via closed circuit television Oct. 7. The 25-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting two children, ages 1 and 2, at ABC Kidz child care in Elyria, Ohio.

At the arraignment, prosecutors said that the state has "very strong evidence" against the accused, but would not elaborate. Koon's attorney argued for lower bond, since the woman has no prior criminal record, but to no avail. The attorney also indicated that his client planned to plead not guilty, although no plea was formally entered.

On Friday, police arrested Koon and her boyfriend, registered sex offender James Osborne. While searching Osborne's apartment, investigators found a laptop belonging to Koon containing a video in which she appears to engage in sexual conduct with an infant, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
