Ojore Nuru Lutalo: I Never Made 'Bomb Threats' On Amtrak Train

In an interview with the AP, Ojore Nuru Lutalo responded to charges that he discussed terrorist activities while on board an Amtrak train in Colorado. Lutalo, 64, of Elizabeth, N.J., was arrested Tuesday at the La Junta train station in southeastern Colorado and faces a felony charge of endangering public transportation.

Lutalo told AP the charges caught him off guard.

"I'm totally surprised. I had No idea. See, I knew better than to make bomb threats, because of... what happened on Christmas day. I knew the danger in it."

Lutalo is famous among prison rights advocates for having spend 20 years in solitary confinement. He was released after serving 28 years for armed robbery and weapons violations.
