OLC Drones Memo Should Be Released: House Intel Chair Mike Rogers (VIDEO)

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), chair of the House Intel Committee, believes the Obama administration should provide a copy of a memo authored by the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel that lays out the legal justification for targeted killings.

"I do believe they should have given us their legal conclusion," Rogers told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell on Wednesday. "They're arguing that this is an internal document for president's advice and counsel. I completely disagree with it, because it's the last foundation of what they use to justify it, so I passionately disagree with their reason for not providing the actual legal opinion."

A 16-page"white paper" outlining the legal justification in broad terms was published by Michael Isikoff of NBC News earlier this week. Rogers, who had already seen the white paper when it was previously provided to Congress, says that isn't enough.

"I think they should produce this legal document, and I don't think they should hold back anymore," Rogers said.
