It’s no secret that Donald Trump is a massive misogynist who seemingly can’t stop body-shaming women. He did it to former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, he’s done it on multiple occasions to Hillary Clinton and he’s even done it to a pregnant Kim Kardashian.
In an old video from 2013, which is making its way around the web again, the real estate mogul speaks to HLN’s “Showbiz Tonight” about the fact that Kim K, who appeared on “Celebrity Apprentice,” decided to create a baby shower gift registry for herself, despite her massive income.
“She’s a nice person. I’ve known her over the years. She’s really a nice person,” Trump says before unnecessarily bringing up her body. “She’s gotten a little bit large. I would say this, I don’t think you should dress like you weigh 120 pounds.”
At the time, Kardashian was pregnant with her first child, North West.
In the clip, the Republican presidential nominee tries to save himself by agreeing with host A.J. Hammer, adding, “If she feels good about herself, A.J., do it, Kim!”
But that doesn’t change what he already said, and continues to say.
As The Huffington Post’s own Emma Gray writes, “Words matter ― and Trump’s words about women and their bodies are no exception. After all, research has shown that not only does fat-shaming not help people lose weight, it can actually contribute to a myriad of psychological and physical health issues.”
Good thing Kim K definitely isn’t voting for him.
Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
