The red carpet was rolled out last night to honor actors and actresses for their accomplishments in TV and on film at the Golden Globes and we couldn't take our eyes off them. Sequins, sparkles, a little skin -- and even some feathers were on display on some of our post-50 celebs. Check out the best-dressed celebs of the night:

Moore, 54, stunned in this metallic ombre Givenchy gown -- complemented with Chopard diamonds and a stylish clutch, and of course, her signature red hair. But the star's best accessary for the evening was her golden statuette. Moore won best actress for her acclaimed role in "Still Alice." She's basically our very own post50 "it-girl."
Helen Mirren

Dame Helen showed off her gorgeous curves in this bold red dress with a flattering sweetheart neckline. But what also caught our eye was her pen brooch. Mirren was one of several celebs -- including lifetime achievement winner George Clooney and his wife Amal -- showing solidarity with France in light of the recent terrorist attacks. Way to make a statement, Dame Helen.
Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda was also a lady in red last night, opting for a more daring look. Fonda, 77, wore a cutout Versace dress with sheer panels, showing off her killer body. We need to find those workout videos pronto.

It wasn't just the gals that stole the show. The post50 men were stylish in their own right and of course, no best-dressed list would be possible without an appearance from Mr. Clooney. The 53-year-old newlywed was beaming with his beautiful new bride, Amal, at his side. The couple both wore pins emblazoned with "Je Suis Charlie" to show their solidarity after the Charlie Hebdo attack.

Though his stunning wife might have been his best accessory, we have to say the lifetime achievement award winner looked perfectly dapper himself. If that tux looks familiar, it's because it is. Clooney decided to recycle his wedding tux for the event, lamenting how much easier men have it than women when it comes to fashion for the awards shows.

The funnyman, 52, looked surprisingly dapper in a crisp tux. His stylish specs and well-groomed scruff were equally eye-catching.

Oh, Queen Meryl. The 65-year-old actress has never been a trendsetter in fashion, instead opting for classic, simple designs with flattering silhouettes. Staying true to her usual style, Streep was radiant in a simple monochrome gown, with a quirky bow-detail.
