If you know anything about the Olsen twins, you know they have a very distinct sense of style. They never bend to trends and always make things that shouldn't work, work -- like Birkenstocks and socks. Their minimalist fashion sensibilities have served them well at The Row, helping them win the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award for a second time earlier this month.
It's also no secret that Mary-Kate and Ashley are consistently inspired by mature women -- they had then-65-year-old stylist Linda Rodin model in The Row's Pre-Fall 2014 lookbook and cite 71-year-old model/actress Lauren Hutton as their beauty icon. The twenty-somethings often dress in clothes that look better suited for someone a few decades older.
In celebration of MK & A's 29th birthday on June 13, we thought we'd play a fun game. We teamed up with Ari Seth Cohen, creator of the over-60 women's fashion blog Advanced Style, to create a quiz. We chose images of the Olsens and pictures of some fashionable seniors featured on Cohen's blog, blacked out their faces and are making you guess: Is it an Olsen twin or a stylish senior?
