The Olympic flame for the 2014 Sochi Games was finally lit on Sunday by Russian President Vladimir Putin. But it didn't take long for it to go out.
Former Olympic champion swimmer and torch bearer Shavarsh Karapetyan was passing through the Kremlin in Moscow when the flame suddenly disappeared. Fortunately, there was a man nearby with a lighter who re-lit the flame.
President of the Sochi organizing committee Dmitry Chernyshenko said the torch's valve wasn't fully opened, per CBS News.
