Before he became president of the United States, Donald Trump was apparently just a man kicking a boy band out of his hotel for not taking the time to meet his daughter.
At least thatâs the story Liam Payne, of the temporarily disbanded One Direction, is going with in a recent interview for Rollacoaster.
Apparently, the pop group was unaware that all famous guests must first meet Trumpâs daughter or would be kindly escorted in a different direction, i.e., out of the building. Payne doesnât specify whether the daughter in question was Tiffany or Ivanka, but TBQH, we could envision either fangirling over 1D.
âTrump actually kicked us out of his hotel once,â Payne told Rollacoaster, as reported by NME. âYou wouldnât believe it. It was about [meeting] his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep. He said, âWell, wake them upâ and I was like, âNoâ and then he wouldnât let us use the underground garage. Obviously in New York we canât really go outside. New York is ruthless for us.â
âSo he was like, âOK, then I donât want you in my hotel,ââ he continued. âSo we had to leave.â
America, brace yourselves for a Trump tweetstorm in 3, 2, 1 ...
The Huffington Post has reached out to Payneâs representatives and will update this post accordingly.
