One Fund Boston, the fundraising organization for Boston Marathon bombing victims created by Mayor Thomas Menino (D) and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick (D), has received donations from hundreds of individuals and businesses looking to help. Now, Prospect Productions has created a video as a contribution to the fund, dedicated to capturing Boston's spirit.
The short film is narrated through quotes from a speech by Menino, and from a remarks by Red Sox player David Ortiz.
"We are one Boston. No adversity, no challenge –- nothing -– can tear down the resilience of this city and its people," the mayor begins. The film captures scenes of the city, from iconic sights and streets along the marathon route to makeshift memorials for victims.
The fund has already raised more than $7 million. The organization has created a hashtag on Twitter to symbolize support for the community, #OneBoston.
