We were all sickened by the horrific attacks earlier today, on both coasts, but I watched closely as the East coast Congressional attack was unfolding. The severity of injuries, and the downright inhuman violence, just has to stop,

But , for once, the members of Congress stood as one, walked as one, talked as one.

Through tears, heartache and just plain old disgust, Americans once again gasped at what’s happening in our beloved country , but it reminded us of the words of our pledge of allegiance, “ one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all”

The response and words of House Speaker Ryan, “An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us”, not only drew applause from the members of Congress, including Minority leader, Nancy Pelosi, but also applause from so many of us.

Our nation should be ONE, not divided-ONE. Through tragedy, illness, “ in sickness and in health”, and certainly for a game for fundraising

Our prayers go out to Congressman Scalise, the two “hero” members the Capitol Police, interns and aides hit, ,and also to the west coast UPS families affected.

May we stop, and as we PLAY together, let us also PRAY together.

I am proud to be an American. We must stop the madness
