Oprah Praises 'Beasts Of The Southern Wild' On 'Super Soul Sunday' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Oprah's Latest Obsession

Oprah recently got a hot tip about the movie "Beasts of the Southern Wild" from President Obama, and now she's obsessed.

In a preview of her OWN series "Super Soul Sunday," Oprah revealed that she first heard about the film from Obama: she was sitting down to interview him for O magazine when he asked her if she had seen the fantasy-drama.

She interviewed director Benh Zeitlin and stars Dwight Henry and Quvenzhané Wallis for the latest episode of the show, which airs on August 26.

She pointed out that the show might seem like an unusual platform to discuss the movie, but that the film was "that special" and "that good." She said she had to tell everyone she knew about it.

"All I can tell you is that, never seen anything like it," she said of "Beasts of the Southern Wild." "It is magical realism brought to the screen. It is a truly a work of art."
