Oprah's O Magazine Suffers Loss In 2012 Ad Page Sales: Report

More Bad News For Oprah

Oprah's media empire took another hit on Friday as the queen of daytime's magazine reported a loss in 2012 ad page sales.

According to The Wrap, a new report from Publishers Information Bureau shows that O Magazine was down 24.1 percent in ad pages from 2011.

The news follows a rather tough month for Oprah and her young cable network, OWN. In March, Oprah personally decided to cancel Rosie O'Donnell's nightly talk show, "The Rosie Show," after low ratings. She also laid off 30 members of her OWN staff in a restructuring effort.

During an interview on "CBS This Morning," Oprah sat down with gal pal Gayle King and Charlie Rose to discuss the challenges she has faced in launching her cable network. "Had I known it was this difficult, I might have done something else," Oprah candidly said. "If I were writing a book, I might call it '101 Mistakes,'" she later added.
