Oregon Election Results 2012 MAP: Presidential Winner For The Beaver State (REAL-TIME DATA)

LOOK: Oregon Election Map

This is where you can find the results of the 2012 presidential election for the state of Oregon.

In 2008, then-Sen. Barack Obama easily carried the state by over 16 percentage points, propelled largely by Democrat voters in and around Portland and Eugene. This year, it seems unlikely that either Obama or GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney will win the state as handily.

That's because while the Beaver State typically leans blue, it has shown a tendency to lean farther right than its neighbors to the north and south, according to The Washington Post. Despite 2008's easy Democratic win, Al Gore only bested George W. Bush in the state by one percentage point in 2000.

In 2010, a Republican candidate came within two points of becoming the state's governor. But, Obama has held a lead in the polls throughout the campaign in Oregon, and the last of the polls showed that in the final days, he was able to maintain that advantage.
