Joseph Young had a game-winner and near triple-double this week as Oregon earned home victories over Washington and Washington State. The Houston, Texas native has been named NetScouts Basketball's National Player of the Week for games from February 2nd to February 8th.

Young opened the week with 32 points, three rebounds, and two assists while shooting 12-of-21 from the floor and 4-of-9 from three-point range in a 78-74 win over Washington. He had the game-winning basket with less than 20 seconds remaining and also scored his 2,000th career point in the win. On Sunday, Young had another key performance against Washington State. The 6-foot-2 guard contributed 29 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists (with no turnovers) while shooting 10-of-16 from the field and 3-of-5 from deep in a 95-72 victory. On the week, Young averaged 30.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game on 59.5 percent (22-of-37) shooting, a 50 percent (7-of-14) clip from deep, and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line.

The senior has been one of the top scorers in the Pac-12 this season, averaging 19.3 points per game for the Ducks. He's growing into a true point guard at the head of the offense as Oregon is inching towards an NCAA Tournament berth. Young will look to continue his hot shooting into the final stretch of the regular season.

Another senior, Karam Mashour, led Morehead State to wins over Belmont and Tennessee State in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Nazareth, Israel native has been named NetScouts Basketball's International Player of the Week for games from February 2nd to February 8th.

The 6-foot-6 forward started with a double-double in a 72-57 win versus Tennessee State. Mashour had 21 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists on 9-of-16 shooting and a 2-of-5 display from deep. He followed with 22 points and six rebounds in a narrow 73-71 win against Belmont. Mashour shot 5-of-10 from the field, 2-of-5 from three-point range, and 10-of-11 at the free throw line in the thrilling win. He averaged 21.5 points and 10.0 rebounds on the week while shooting 53.8 percent (14-of-26) from the field and 40 percent (4-of-10) from three-point range.

Mashour has been the leading rebounder for Morehead State this season while adding 9.0 points per game. The Eagles have won five of their last six games and are tied for first in the East Division of the Ohio Valley Conference. With a roster that includes three international players, Morehead State could challenge for its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2011.
